

Tom was a native of the old Limerick neighborhood of Louisville, KY. He was the last surviving member of nine children of John J. and Winifred (Hennessey) Barry. Tom spent his career as an accountant and at the time of his retirement had spent twenty-five years with the Louisville Public Warehouse Co.
He served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War.
Pete, as he was known to his family and friends, was an avid golfer and horse race handicapper. He was a Democrat who always was sympathetic to the plight of the poor, the needy, and to animals.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Daniel, William, Michael, Joseph, and James; sisters Mary, Helen, and Mary Wyn.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann Barry; sons, Daniel Patrick Barry, Timothy L. McDonald; daughter, Kathy McDonald Gray; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
His funeral Mass will be 9:30 a.m. on Monday at St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church, 1104 South 6th Street, Louisville, KY with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, IN. Visitation will be noon - 6 p.m. Sunday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, IN. Online condolences may be made at www.kraftfuneralservice.net.
