

Funeral services for Violet M. Bryant, 95, of New Albany, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, at Kraft Funeral Service, Spring Street Chapel, New Albany, with burial in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, New Albany. She died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at Indian Creek Health & Rehab in Corydon.
The daughter of the late George and Myrtle Brown Rainbolt, she was born Jan. 20, 1917, in New Amsterdam. She was a homemaker, seamstress at the former M. Fine & Sons, and assisted in tax preparation. She was a member of the V.F.W. Post 1693 Ladies Auxiliary and the former Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Albany.
Survivors include her children, Larry Bryant and his wife, Judy, Patsy Hall, Mike Bryant and Brenda Huff and her husband, Donald; 15 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren; and three great-great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Richard Bryant; son, Timothy Bryant; daughter-in-law, Judy Bryant; son-in-law, Bruce Hall; brothers, Clifford, James, Howard and Carl Rainbolt; and sisters, Evelyn Couie, Georgie Ridings and Catherine Crump.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
