Virginia "Polly" Pauline Whelan, age 101, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. Polly was born on July 19, 1921 in Milltown, Indiana to the late Carl and Beatrice (Stone) Money.
She loved spending time with her late husband camping and fishing at Hardy Lake, gardening, and canning vegetables. Along with her parents and siblings, she was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Charles Leroy Whelan in 2015.
She is survived by her sons, Warren Whelan (Wanda), Larry Whelan (Sandy); grandchildren, Brian Whelan (Shelly), Travis Whelan, Gary Whelan (Beth); and great grandchildren, Bella Whelan and Carter Whelan.
Polly's funeral service will be private and she will be laid to rest in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
