YVONNE KENT JAHN, 71 years of age, died Thursday at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born December 19, 1939 in New Albany to the late Manuel Kent and Olive A. Tindall. Yvonne had worked at the former R.C. Can Company and was an avid bingo player. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Kent, and a grandson, Marcus Speedy.
Survivors include her husband, John “Jay” Jahn; sons, Bob Grose (Susan) of New Albany IN and John Jahn (Hilda) of Denmark;
daughters, Tammy Maymon (Doug) of Greenville IN and Sheila Czaja (Johnny) of Louisville KY; brothers, Manuel “Sonny” Kent of California and James “Jim” Kent of New Jersey; sister, Charlotte Miller (Bill) of Kentucky; close friend, Sissy Forster of New Albany IN; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm ~ 7:00 pm Tuesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be 7:00 pm Tuesday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel.
