Charles M. Follett

Born in West Haven, CT, the son of the late Walter Lewis Follett and Loretta (Whelan) Boutelle, he was raised in Mattapan and lived in Duxbury before moving to New Bedford 35 years ago.

He served in the United States Marine Corp. during the Vietnam Era attaining the rank of Corporal.

He had a successful career as a Registered Nurse at the Brockton V.A. Hospital for 23 years.

An avid reader, Charles enjoyed collecting books and browsing book stores. He loved the outdoors, gardening, landscaping and traveling. Charles enjoyed listening to classical music and attending plays and concerts. He loved his cats, and was especially fond of Squeaky.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Emily Follett and her wife Gullinda Loum, Michael Follett and his wife Lyn and Charles Follett and his wife Jennifer; and two grandsons, Connor and Shawn Follett.

He was predeceased by his former wife Ellen Follett.

His family and friends will miss his sense of humor and presence in their daily lives.
