Clementina R. Coelho

Clementina R. (deAlmeida Relvas) Coelho, a beloved and devoted member of the New Bedford community, passed away on February 23, 2025, at the age of 87. Known for her kind-hearted nature, Clementina was a cherished figure to all who knew her.

Born on November 7, 1937, in Pacos de Brandao, Portugal, Clementina spent her early years in her homeland before immigrating to the United States with her family in October of 1968. The family settled in New Bedford, Massachusetts, where Clementina would continue to build a life filled with love and devotion.

Clementina was united in marriage to her husband, Antonio, for 65 years, a testament to their enduring love and partnership. She is survived by her son, Mario Coelho, and his wife, Donna, of New Bedford; her daughter, Nancy Jason, and her companion, Robert Rock, of Fairhaven; and her granddaughter, Brittney Anne Coelho, of New Bedford. Clementina is also remembered by her brother, Fernando Relvas, who resides in Portugal.

A devout Catholic, Clementina found joy and solace in her faith, regularly attending Mass at Holy Name Church. Her personal interests included cooking, watching Spanish Novelas, and delighting in the innocence of baby animals on Instagram. Above all, her family was everything to her, and she cherished the time spent with them, especially her granddaughter Brittney.

Clementina's legacy is one of love, devotion, and kindness, leaving a lasting impact on her family and community. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
