

Cordell H. Campbell, affectionately known as "Corey," passed away on May 13, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on July 22, 1939, in Massies Mill, Virginia, Corey was the devoted son of the late Aubrey and Georgie (Mays) Campbell. A resident of Acushnet, Corey was a selfless and generous individual, known for his unwavering dedication to his family and community.
Corey was a proud Vietnam Veteran of the Navy and a respected member of the American Legion. His career included working in Shipload Maintenance BMI for the Navy and serving as a Special Police Officer for St. Luke’s Hospital.
Corey was married to his beloved wife, Janine A. (Chagnon) Campbell, with whom he shared many cherished years. Known as "The Pen Guy," Corey was famous for distributing pens for all occasions. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage, riding his motorcycle, and was an avid hunter. His outgoing and social nature made him a jack of all trades, and he was always eager to lend a hand.
Corey is survived by his loving wife, Janine Campbell of Acushnet; his daughters, Lisa Campbell of Acushnet, and Rebecca Caillet and her husband Charles II of Acushnet; his son, Stephen Campbell of Dallas, Texas; and six grandchildren, Casey, Paige, Victoria, Gabriel and his wife Janae, Ashelynn, and Charles III "Chaz." He also leaves behind five great-grandchildren, two brothers, and many nieces and nephews. Corey was predeceased by eight siblings.
Corey touched many lives, and he will be missed and remembered by all who knew him.
