

She was the beloved daughter of the late Charles and Mary Daley.
Born in Acushnet, Cynthia lived most of her life on the South Coast. She was a graduate of the Swain School of Design and worked for a time at a flower shop in downtown New Bedford.
Always one to appreciate the beauty in the world, Cynthia loved nature and delighted in animals, particularly cats, owls, and hummingbirds. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and loved ones. She will be remembered for her quiet courage, compassion, and easy laughter.
Her family includes her former husband Dennis Broadbent; their two daughters, Holly Broadbent and her husband Scott Marnell, of Connecticut, and Rebecca Pounds and her husband Patrick, of New Bedford; and her two granddaughters Elizabeth and Madelyn Pounds.
She will be cremated. Visiting hours will take place Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Rock Funeral Home from 11 AM to 1 PM. A private memorial will follow at a later date. Arrangements placed in the care of Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd. in New Bedford.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to an animal shelter of your choice, or to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America, 505 8th Avenue, Suite 902, New York, NY 10018. Arrangements under the direction of Rock Funeral Home, New Bedford, MA.
