Dennis was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, he pursued a career as a computer programmer at the Newport Naval Base, where he was known for his dedication and skill.
He was the beloved son of Claire A. (St. Pierre) Metivier and the late Maurice E. Metivier. Dennis is survived by his siblings: Denise Metivier, Daniel Metivier, Darlene Metivier, and Donna Downing. He is also remembered by his niece, Amber Delgado, her husband Francisco, and their children, Skye and Francisco III. Additionally, Dennis leaves behind a dear family friend, Barbara Arpa.
All services are private and are under the care of Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
