

Donald Vieira, Jr. , 65, of North Dartmouth passed away unexpectedly on August 8 after a battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Lauren Vieira of Salt Lake City, his stepson, Jonathan King of Cape Cod, his mother, Beatrice Vieira of Acushnet, brother, Michael Vieira of North Dartmouth and sister, Kerry Vieira of Easton, MA, his brother-in-law, Christopher Geaghan, and niece and nephew. He was predeceased by his father, Donald Vieira Sr and son, Dylan Vieira. The Vieira family extends thanks to his good friend, David Lavoie, for helping him with his properties and domestic items in recent years.
Mr. Vieira was a 1975 graduate of New Bedford High School. He was self-employed as a real estate owner and property manager in New Bedford. He had been in the de-leading business for many years, as well as a rental manager for other properties.
Donald enjoyed great health for decades and had been a runner, skier, snowboarder and from a young age played basketball frequently. In recent years, he walked the track at UMass Dartmouth. He traveled around New England with his children, enjoyed holidays with them to Florida and Bermuda, and had been to California wine country, Ireland and Italy.
His Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 9:00am – 11:00am, followed by a 11:00am service in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA 02745. Burial in River-Side Cemetery. For on-line tributes, www.rock-funeralhome.com
