Born in New Bedford, son of the late Hermengel and Esma [LeBlanc] Medeiros, he was a lifelong resident of New Bedford.
He was a graduate of New Bedford High School and received a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Mr. Medeiros was a highly respected Mathematics teacher at New Bedford High School and Industrial Arts teacher at Keith Junior High School.He was totally dedicated to his students who held him in high regard.
Edward was most kind-hearted and always there to lend a helping hand whenever the need arose.His idea of a perfect day was playing cards, browsing at the flea market for model trains, or spending a summer day at Horseneck Beach.
Edward will be forever missed by his loving family!
He is survived by his brother, Henry Medeiros and wife Helena Amaral of New Bedford; his sister, Suzanne Drewniak and husband Robert of Plymouth; and his niece, Alexandra Amaral -Medeiros of Chicago.He was predeceased by his brother, Gerald Medeiros and his nieces, Karen Medeiros, Sandra Sirois and Lisa Medeiros.
