Born in New Bedford he was a graduate of New Bedford High School and worked as a cutter at Deerfield Manufacturing. Ernest served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
Survivors include his cousin and caretaker: Jeremias Pereira and his wife Berta of New Bedford and many other cousins. He was the brother of the late Johnny Perry. His family would like to thank the staff of Brandon Woods - New Bedford for the excellent care he received during his stay.
In accordance with his wishes, his Funeral Mass will be held on Monday September 4, 2017 at 8am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 1359 Acushnet Avenue. Friends and family are invited.
