Eugene "Gene" R. St. Onge

Born in Queens, New York, a son of the late Adrien and Jeannette (Florent) St. Onge, he was a resident of East Freetown for over 35 years.

Mr. St. Onge graduated from Coyle High School in Taunton class of 1954 and served in the US Air Force from 1954-1958. He worked as a Plant Manager at Epec in New Bedford from 1965-1973, he then left to start his own business called Inline Tech. He returned to Epec in 1980 and continued to work there for many years before retiring in 2006. He was an avid reader and an entrepreneur.

Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Janine “Nickie” Lubertowicz and her husband Steven of Fairhaven and Monique Goulet and her husband David of Fairhaven; one step-son, Dennis George Dallaire of Fairhaven; one brother, Bob St. Onge and his wife Cookie of Rochester; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren and two nephews.

His funeral service will be held Friday, May 11, 2012 at 11 AM in the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd. New Bedford. Visiting hours, Friday 9-11 AM in the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be at 1:15 PM in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
