

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Manuel F. Motta and Maria (Campos) Motta, she was a lifelong resident of New Bedford and wintered in Fort Myers, Florida.
Mrs. Lavimoniere had worked as a stitcher at States Nitewear, Langshaw Manufacturing and Bunny Manufacturing.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in New Bedford and a former member of the St. Mary’s Couple Club. Evelyn enjoyed bowling with duckpins and played for several years on a number of leagues.
Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Susan E. Harriman of Gallatin, Tennessee and Gary D. Lavimoniere of Fort Myers, Florida; five grandchildren, Kristin Clift of Lone Tree, CO, Kelly Harriman of Kentucky and Lee Harriman IV of Atlanta, GA, Michael and James Lavimoniere of NH; three great grandchildren, Grayson Clift and Vesper Clift of Lone Tree, CO and Lawson Harriman of Atlanta, GA; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Manuel Motta, Alfred Motta, Nora Moreira and Carl Motta.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 9-11 a.m. with a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Burial will be private.
