Florence L. Brillon

Florence L. (Jette) Brillon, 87, of Acushnet passed away, Thursday, April 14, 2016 in her home surrounded by her family after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Leopold T. Brillon, with whom she shared 67 years of marriage.

Born in Central Falls, RI a daughter of the late Louis and Rose (Tremblay) Jette she lived most of her life in Acushnet and she was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Fairhaven.

Mrs. Brillon was a ceramics teacher for 33 years. She will be remembered as a devoted wife and loving mother.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline T. Crosby and her husband Richard of Dartmouth and Michelle Margotta and her husband Michael of Spring Hill, FL; two sisters, Blanche Guillotte of New Bedford and Constance Anuszczyk of Port Richey, FL; four grandchildren, Kienan Almeida of Phoenix, AZ, Kristie Simas of San Clemente, CA, Sarah Crosby of Fall River and John Crosby of Fitchburg.

Her funeral will be Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 8 am from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by a funeral mass at 9 am in St. Mary’s Church, Main St., Fairhaven. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant St., New Bedford. Visitation will be Tuesday 4-7 pm.
