Janet Francis Rodrigues

Janet Francis Rodrigues, born on March 23, 1962, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at the age of 62 in Hope Health Philip Hulitar Center after a lengthy illness. Janet was a lifelong resident of New Bedford.

Janet was known for being adventurous and faithful, traits that she carried throughout her life. She cherished her loved son Gary and grandson Gary 3rd, always placing family at the forefront of her life.

An avid fan of Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, Janet enjoyed living in different parts of the country, embracing the experiences and connections that came with each new place.

Janet will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and her unwavering dedication to her family and passions.

In addition to her son Gary, she is survived by a grandson Gary Auger III of South Carolina; her father John Cofer of New Bedford; her siblings, Linda Carvalho and her husband Michael of New Bedford, Pauline Pittsley of New Bedford, John Cofer of North Carolina and Donald Cofer and his wife Cheryl of New Bedford; an aunt, Dolores Fiano of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.
