

Janice A. (Allison) Roderiques, age 80, of New Bedford died Saturday, March 7, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the wife of John Roderiques, Jr. with whom she shared 59 years of marriage.
Janice was a lifelong resident of New Bedford, born to Loretta (England) Allison of Fairhaven and the late Norman Allison. She graduated from New Bedford High School, worked for 20 years as a cashier at the Kmart in Fairhaven, and was a member of St. Joseph-St. Therese Church. She enjoyed bingo, especially at the Brooklawn Park Senior Center and worked the voting polls at The Rock for many years.
Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are a son, James J. Roderiques of Steilacoom, WA, a daughter, Joann M. Roderiques-Lemon of Lakebay, WA, two granddaughters: Jessica A. Roderiques of Tacoma, WA and Rachell A. Roderiques-Lemon of Lakebay, WA, and her uncle George N. England and his wife Bernice of New Bedford.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 10:30 am in St. Joseph-St. Therese Church, Acushnet Avenue, New Bedford. Family will greet friends prior to Mass from 10 – 10:30 in the church. Burial of cremated remains will be held on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 12:30 pm in the MA National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. Arrangements are under the care of the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
