Joseph Alan Capra

Born in Acushnet, a son of the late John Capra and Mary Oliver (Joseph) Capra, he lived in New Bedford for several years before settling in Acushnet 46 years ago.

He proudly served in the United Stated Navy.

Mr. Capra was the owner of Mobile Steam Cleaning until his retirement. The business motto was “Don’t Get Mad Get Steamed”. He previously worked for Servomation and Hoyt Manufacturing.

Joseph had a passion for antique cars, restoring and cherishing them.

Surviving in addition to his wife Sharon are his children, Wendy Lea Durudoḡan of Middletown, RI, Sheri Lynn Donovan and her husband Michael of Westport and Jesse Capra and his companion Shannah Marshall of New Bedford; five grandchildren, Peter Durudoḡan, Timothy Donovan, Sean Donovan, Brian Donovan and Eric Durudoḡan; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Judith Nobrega and John “Jack” Capra.
