

Born in Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Francisco and Albina (Andre) dos Santos.
Madalena was a member of the CCI Program on Davol Street in Fall River for 35 years. She enjoyed vacationing, listening to music and loved going to the park to look at the water, which gave her great joy. A gentle and kind soul, Madalena loved being around people and was very much loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by her siblings, Ana Maria dos Santos of New Bedford, Linda Barros and her husband Richard of New Bedford, Tony Santos and his wife Kirie of Medfield, Maria Silva and her husband David Bonneau of Sarasota, FL, M. Alice Macedo and her husband Tony of Wareham and Elizabeth dos Santos and her companion Everett of N. Dartmouth; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her sisters, Julia and Conceicao dos Santos.
A special thank you is extended to Matt Dunn, Kaylee Simmons and Brian Brisson who took great care of Madalena and always brought a smile to her face and to all the staff at Border City who helped Madalena enjoy her life.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 343 Tarkiln Hill Rd., New Bedford followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to HMEA, 8 Forge Park East, Franklin, MA 02038.
