

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of Muriel (Breault) Whalley of Acushnet and the late Edmond Whalley, she was lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School, Johnson and Wales University, and Fisher College.
and She was a Para Professional at the Center School in Mattapoisett for many years and also worked at local Daycares over the years.
An avid bowler, she was a member of the Braiden Buddy’s League. She enjoyed traveling to Disney World especially on her most recent trip which she shared with her grandson Vann and family.
Besides her mother and boyfriend, she is survived by two sons, Bryan Spicer and his wife Brandi of Acushnet and Chad Spicer of Fairhaven; one grandson, Vann Spicer of Acushnet; and many cousins, including Robin Roy of Mattapoisett, and Aunt, Bella Comeau.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 9:00AM from the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA 02745, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in Saint Mary’s Church, Main Street, Fairhaven. Visiting hours Wednesday from 5-8 PM. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Bedford..
