Born and raised in Acushnet, he was the son of Manuel and Maria Pragana.
Mr. Pragana was part owner of D-Filet Processing in New Bedford until his retirement.
Jesse enjoyed gardening, traveling, dining out with friends and family and playing a good competitive game of Sueca. He loved following the New England Patriots during the Tom Brady era. Jesse loved going for a scenic drive with his wife Olivia and was most happy spending time with her.
Surviving in addition to his wife is his special niece, Anne Marie Furtado and her husband Tome; his sister-in-law, Paulina Silveira and her husband Jose; several nieces and nephews near and far and many friends. He was predeceased by his siblings, Mike, John, Joe and Maria.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 9:00-10:30 am in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am in Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, 136 Earle St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Acushnet Cemetery.
