Shawn J. Dufresne

Shawn was a wonderful loving son, brother, father and friend. He was always

there to help or lend a hand to those who needed it. He was a graduate of New Bedford High School. Shawn was a welder fabricator by trade, but also liked tinkering around with car's or any other project that came along. He loved fishing, camping, water sports, quads and the joy life. He will be deeply missed by all of us.

In addition to his parents, Edmund and Donna Dufresne of Acushnet, he is survived by his loving son, Travis Dufresne of Acushnet; His grandmother, Claire Braley of S. Dartmouth; His sister, Melissa Rego of FL; His brother's, Craig Dufresne of Acushnet, Joseph Dufresne and his wife Michele of New Bedford; his niece's Courtney Rego, Rachel Dufresne; his nephew Christian Neisig; aunts and uncles and many cousins. He was the grandson of the late Donald Braley and Peter and Gloria Dufresne; & his girlfriend Stephanie Burt, of New Bedford.

His Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 10:00am in St. Julie Billiart Church, 494 Slocum Rd., Dartmouth, MA 02747. Everyone is to meet directly at church. Burial is private. His visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00PM in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA 02745.
