Shirley M. Webster

Shirley M. (Miller) Webster, 85, of New Bedford MA passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 5:05 am in The Oaks Nursing Home after a long illness with dementia and two strokes. She was the estranged wife of the late Robert Edward Webster.

Born in Zelienople, PA, on Sept 5 1936 a daughter of the late Harry and Mary (McFadden) Miller she grew up there and latter, with her husband Robert raised their two sons in Lamoine Maine and then New Bedford MA where she lived most of her life.

Shirley worked at Isostronics , Cyclone Cleaning and as a housekeeper at Saint Luke's Hospital all in New Bedford MA. She worked at Saint Luke's for over 10 years . In her spare time, she enjoyed dancing the Jitterbug, playing cards, board games, and she was an avid walker and beach goer. Shirley also loved to read Stephen King books and in her younger days crafts, string art and knitting.

She is survived by two sons, Scott Webster of New Bedford MA and Bradley Webster of San Diego, CA, a brother Linford Miller and his wife Rosie of South Carolina; one sister in law Margaret (Wiggton) Miller of PA, the wife of the late William Miller and several nephews and a niece. as well as dear friends, Anna Lopes-Soares, Anna Maria Lopes, and Kurtis Lopes all of New Bedford and friends Mary Lavick, Lorraine LeValley and Susan Gomes.
