Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Manuel Linhares and the late Eva (Lucas) Linhares Mach he lived most of his life in Acushnet. He was a member of the Christian Fellowship Center.
Mr. Linhares worked as a supervisor at Titlest.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jackie Linhares; a son, Stephen Linhares; two grandchildren, Ashlee and Joshua Linhares; great granddaughter, Sophia Lomba; and a sister, Joyce Tillet all of Acushnet.
His funeral service will be Monday, February 29, 2016 at 10 am in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 3-6 pm.
