Thomas John Rudnik

Thomas J. Rudnik, 62, of New Bedford, died unexpectedly on Friday, January 15, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Martha L. (Schofield) Rudnik. Tom was born and raised in New Bedford, a son of the late Walter P. and Rosaline (Rihbany) Rudnik.

He graduated from New Bedford High School and earned his Associate Degree from New England Tech. He lived in New Bedford for most of his life, and had also resided in Westport for nearly ten years.

Tom was employed as a Chemical Operator with Borden and Remington in Fall River for 30 years, retiring in 2015. He will always be remembered for his willingness to lend a helping hand and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he leaves a son Matthew J. Rudnik; 2 step-sons Kevin A. Duarte and Jamie Duarte; a sister Jane Butler; 9 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
