Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Antonio and Helen (Silva) da Costa she was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Croffut worked at Star Store until it was closed. In her spare time, she loved to go West Beach everyday from May to October – almost like she was addicted to the beach. She loved swimming and sunbathing. She also enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter and family.
She is survived by her son, David Croffut and his wife Karen of Spring Hill, FL; and a granddaughter, Kristen Croffut of FL.
