Vivian I. Spoor

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Emeric H. and Ida Sophie (Lizotte) Chenel. She graduate from New Bedford High School and attended the former Kinyon Campbell Business School. She was employed for many years in the accounts payable office at the former Revere Copper and Brass in New Bedford.

She was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Parish, and a member and treasurer of Your Theater Group in New Bedford, and was the President of the Tenants Assoc. at the Presidential Terrace Community.

Surviving three daughters: Suzanne M. Handy and her husband William of East Freetown, Jeanine E. McLaughlin and her husband John of Wareham, Carol A. Biddle and her husband Robert of South Carolina, one son Marc H. Spoor and his wife Donna of South Dartmouth, one sister Jeannette Slocum and her husband Donald of East Dennis, and one brother Charles Chenel of Hope RI., seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Her Visitation will be held from 4 pm - 6:30 pm on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, MA with a prayer service immediately following. Burial is private.
