Wendy Ann Ashley

Born in Middleboro, she was the daughter of the late Lester and the late Eleanor (Horn) Darling.

She grew up in East Freetown, attended public schools, and graduated from Apponequet Regional High school.

She was the wife of the late Karl J. Ashley III, with whom she shared fifty beautiful years following their marriage in 1969.

A devoted wife and mother, Wendy was a lifetime homemaker and business partner to Karl for their cranberry farm.

She was the dedicated mother of Mariah Ashley, Karla Pimental, Amanda Zivin, and Alexander Ashley. Her greatest joy was her role as a loving grandmother to her nine grandchildren: Jacques, Owen, Vianne, Ella, Oliver, Connor, Gavin, Benjamin, and Ryleigh. She is also survived by her sons-in-law, Don Jutras, Jeremy Pimental, and Sparky Zivin, as well as her daughter-in-law, Joanne Ashley.

All are welcome to the visiting hours at the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, on Saturday, September 17th from 8:30 - 9:30 AM with a Remembrance Service starting at 9:30 AM. The burial is private.
