Ruth Ann Huffman

She was born on January 17, 1939, in Jefferson City, MO, the daughter of George H. and Alta G. (Brown) Wierschem. Ruth married Frank “Gene” Huffman on December 22, 1958, in Independence, MO. He preceded her in death, on February 1, 2012.

Ruth worked as a teacher’s aid/librarian for New Berlin schools. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Ruth is survived by her son, Jim Huffman of New Berlin; grandchildren, Henley and Miles Huffman, both of New Berlin, and Brandon (Veiauna) Huffman of Chatham; in-laws, Marian Huffman, Randy and Rhonda Huffman and their children, Justin and Jennifer Huffman, and David and Peggy Huffman and their daughter, Candice Shepherd, and their grandchildren, Chance, Faith, and Jamison (Lyndsay Matushek), and their great-grandchild, Freddy Huffman; and beloved cats, Tigger, Kitty, and BoBo.

Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

A family-hosted interment will be held at Mound Prairie Cemetery in Beverly, IL, at a later date.
