My love and prayers to you all in the loss of your dear husband,,father and grandfather. I always loved my sweet Uncle Al.

I was the local 907 iue president at Ford Bedford Indiana during Mr. Morefields time as the plant manager. I always referred to him as Mr. Morfield out of great respect. If he told something you could bank on it to be true or going to happen. At that time he was also on the board of directors at Ford Motor Company and I am sure he kept Bedford plants best interests in the priority of the board. Growth at Bedford and new product was astounding. Working relationship between union members and management was great. Training was an ongoing process. Tools were provided to improve overall success at Bedford. Unfortunately things started downhill basically at his departure and promotion. Rip Mr. Morefield and prayers for peace and comfort for all the family and friends. 


I met Al Morefield when he came to the Bedford Ford where I worked. He was A kind and caring man. I am sorry of his passing.

I am so sorry to hear about Al's passing.  He was the plant manager for the Ford Plant in Bedford Indiana where I worked.  He was a kind, fair and great leader. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Al's passing. I had the pleasure of working with him at the plant in Bedford Indiana. Best plant manager and leader I encountered in my entire manufacturing career. He mentored all of us that worked for him by showing us the right way to do things. My condolences to Judy and the family.  

So sorry to hear about Al's passing.  In my 45 years with the Ford Motor Company, I never met a person more honorable than Al.  He never had a bad thing to say about anybody and would always look at the positive side of any conflict.  I vividly remember the 50th birthday party the managers who worked for Al attended at his and Judy's house in Bloomington, Indiana.  We all dressed up in old man's clothes (we thought 50 was old at the time).  Al had a lot of chuckles looking at everybody.  Al had a great sense of humor and liked to laugh.  He was always calm (must have been in part due to his pilot experience).  Everyone loved Al.  Our condolences to the family and especially Judy.  We hope to see him again someday.  God bless you.

Just want to send my condolence to Jack and his whole family at this sad time.  
It seems that Jack's father had a full and wonderful life and a great person to be around.  
Jack who is my co-worker has the same great qualities as his father.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the whole family.

Dear Jud,
What do I say? Sorry is inadequate. Platitudes and cliques all seem so trite, empty and meaningless. Years of friendship which was started by changing oil in our two Renault Dauphines with an extra pint of oil left over.
Moments of stark terror while flying right seat with him. Endless repetition of flying stories leavened with the yeast of ageing memory and creative embellishment.
Two young mothers with little babies thousands of miles away while we two drinking buddies flew through the dark nights, the rain, the fog and then finally landing on many times snow- and ice-covered runways. Flying through power lines, running out of gas, FWI (flying while intoxicated) and landing in impossibly short unimproved fields; all against the rules now but routine then
I can’t write more now. My mind is flooding with memories of 61 years. With Sue gone I sit here alone with my sorrow. More later. Service arrangements?
