Ashley Jean Donovan

She was a member of Broad Creek Christian Church, Pamlico High School band, track team and R.O.T.C. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Ruby Donovan.

She is survived by her parents, James and Eleanor Simons, one brother, Carroll Donovan and wife Jessica of New Bern; three sisters, Amanda Keel and husband James of Richlands; Tiffany Donovan and Codi Simons of Pamlico; grandparents, Jim and Ruth Simons of Pamlico; Carroll Christopher of Candler; Rex and Sarah Jones of Etowah; Robert and Nancy Donovan of Arizona; Aunts and Uncles, Randy and Debbie Griffen of Pamlico; Ronnie and Ruby Stocks of Greenville; Greg and Libby Stephens of Vanceboro; Virginia and Mike Lamm, Robert Donovan, Joyce Jones and DeWayne Jones, all of Etowah; David Blankenship of Asheville; Shawn and Melissa Donovan and Tammy Laverty, all of Boston; three nieces, two nephews and many cousins.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Cotten Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddy Gabbert officiating. Burial will follow in the Simons Family Cemetery. Following the service, the family will receive friends at 1325 Bayleaf Road. Visitation will be held Monday, September 5, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home.
