Betty Jeanne Wright Buckley

She is survived by her 3 children; David and spouse Cindy Buckley of Gastonia, NC; Tom and spouse Sue Buckley of Keokuk, Iowa; and Debra and husband Eliot Blatt, of Richmond, Mass.; and her four grandchildren David James and wife Alicia Buckley of Waynesville, NC; Meghan Buckley of Vero Beach, Fla; Patrick Buckley and finance´ Bree Hudson of Gastonia, NC; and Peter Buckley of Gastonia, NC and one great-grandchild Evelyn Belle Buckley of Waynesville, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband David Lanning Buckley and her sister Mary Kuklentz and brother Richard Wright.

Betty Jeanne Wright(Buckley) was born on January 25,1929 in Bethlehem, Pa. She received her BS in Health and Physical Education from East Stroudsburg Teachers College in 1951.

She married David Lanning Buckley on September 5,1953. They initially settled in Rocks Springs, Wyoming, later relocating to Avon, NY. David died as a result of a mining injury in 1975. In 1985 Betty relocated to New Bern, NC initially settling in Riverbend, later moving to McCarthy Court.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at McCarthy Court on Friday September 8,2017 at 1 PM
