Betty Jo Jones

Mrs. Jones was head of the local Draft Board Registrar which she served for 15 years until it closed. Afterwards, she was a civil service employee for 30 years at Cherry Point until her retirement. She was also an active member of Brice's Creek Bible Church.

Betty Jo was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Jerry Jones, and her son Jay Jones.

She is survived by her sister, Patty Shipp Ipock of New Bern; daughter-in-law, Sharon Jones of Key West, FL; nephews, David Huff(Jeni) of Daytona, FL and Rick Huff of Emerald Isle; niece, Holly Huff Furcron (Tom) of Greenville; great nieces, Ashlegh Cranford (Chase) of Raleigh, Meagan Lee (Jason) of Pinehurst, Jenna Huff of Wilmington, NC and great nephew, Hayes Huff (Mary) of Norfolk, VA. Betty Jo is also survived by her many cousins of her extended family.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.
