

Charles Aaron Ipock, Sr., age 79, of Ernul, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the NC Veterans Home in Kinston, NC. He was the son of Elmon and Guyula Ipock, formerly of Ernul, NC.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Charles was retired from civilian service at the MCAS in Cherry Point. He and his wife, Carolyn Purifoy Ipock, celebrated 51 years of marriage prior to her succumbing to Covid in October 2020.
Charles enjoyed the study of history, watching car races, and the study of cars in general. He was a kind and patient person and was devoted to his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his brothers: Elmon "Bud" Jr., Raymond Ipock, Archie Ipock, and Robert "Bobby" Ipock.
He is survived by his son, Charles "Charlie" A. Ipock, Jr. of Ernul; his daughter, Stephanie Morrow (Michael) of Tyler, TX; and two grandchildren, Dasi Farley and Toby Farley of Tyler, TX. He is also survived by his sisters, Dorothy Vincent (Larry) of Alpine, AL and Janice Jones (Milton) of New Bern, NC.
A graveside service will be conducted at New Bern Memorial Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2022 with Chaplain Michael Faircloth officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Little Swift Creek Volunteer Fire Department, 4580 HWY 17 North, Ernul, NC 28527.
