Leaving behind to honor and cherish Cindy's life and memories are her loving husband of almost 57 years, Samuel Gaskins; son, Brent Gaskins and his wife, Rene; grandchildren, Noah, Maggie, and Lillie; daughter-in-law, Claire Gaskins; mother, Ila Jean Kiser; sister-in-law, Diane Kite and her husband, Stanley; devoted and close friends, Linda Blujus and her husband, Dana, Neta Connley and her husband, Larry, and Linda Povich and her husband, Peter; and many loving family members and close friends.
Cindy is preceded in death by her oldest son, Daryl Glen Gaskins; father, Fred Eugene Kiser; and brother, Randy Kiser.
Cindy was a devoted wife, loving mother and an exceptional grandmother. She was a hard-working and loyal employee to Zack Taylor and CREM Property Management for 53 years before retiring. She was a woman of God and cared deeply for others, which was evident to everyone around her. For many years, she helped teach the kids church and volunteered, whenever possible.
Above all else, she loved being with her family. Her grandchildren brought her the greatest joy, and she treasured quality time with them and, of course, spoiling them. Cindy had an indulgent sweet tooth and was always making delicious desserts to share with family and friends.
Cindy and Sammy enjoyed going out to dinner and traveling to the mountains or beach with their closest friends.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00-2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Cotten Funeral Home. A celebration of Cindy's life will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Craig Hearne officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Cindy's honor to The V Foundation at www.v.org.
Cotten Funeral Home is honored to serve the family and friends of Cynthia "Cindy" Elanie Kiser Gaskins.
