Darryl Hoyt Cooper, age 72, of Vanceboro, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023. Born on September 19, 1951 in West Virginia, Darryl was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving as an airplane mechanic. Following his time in the service, Darryl worked as a painter and a baker. He was dearly loved by his family and friends.
Darryl was preceded in death by his parents, Denver Harold Cooper and Cecilia Marie Jarrett Cooper; his wife, Alma Lucille Cuthrell Cooper; his brother, Wayne; and sister, Viva.
He is survived by his children, Deborah Cooper, Denver Cooper, Tonya Cooper Sutton, and Christina Hoyt; grandchildren, Corey, Lindsey, Matthew, Patrick, Michael, Dalton, Dawson, Miranda, Kaylee, and Dixie; great grandson, Hayden; and siblings, Harold, Barbara, Nancy, and Audrey.
