Deane W. Garris

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Darrel Garris; and her parents, Kirby and Effie Wooten.

She is survived by four children, Elaine Bryan (Ray) of Ernul, Kenneth Garris of Fayetteville, Connie Hill of Bayboro, and Linda Revels (Greg) of Powhatan, Virginia; sister, Bessie Firnhaber of Durham; five grandchildren, Maggie Brown (Chris), Denise Burns (Tony), Yong Hee Garris, Yong Lan Meehan (Mike), and Jarrett Revels (Gabriella); and six great grandchildren, AJ, Landon, Annabel, Bobby, Rex, and Dean.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2022 at Cotten Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the Chapel. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Greenleaf Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made in her name to the Gideons International.
