He served in the US Navy and was a veteran of WWII. He then became a truck driver and moved here from NJ after retirement. He was also a member of the VFW of New Bern.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 53 years, Rosemarie Schweizer; a grandson, Joey Masucci; and a sister Margaret Watkins.
He is survived by his son Edward Schweizer of Boca Raton, Florida; his daughter Rosanne Masucci of Oakland, New Jersey; his niece Diane Coveney; his brothers Michael Schweizer of New Bern and Joseph Schweizer of New Jersey; and his grandson Vincent Masucci of New Jersey.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 2 pm at Cotten Funeral Home. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
