He was a US Air Force Veteran of Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Vandiford; Son, Jimmy Vandiford (Joyce) of New Bern; Step sons, Shane Tolly and Paul Tolly of TX.; Step daughter, Senona Krieser (Mike) of New Bern; sisters, Ava Vincent (Bobby) of Cove City, Brenda Toler of New Bern, Ada Rice (Dal) of Bridgeton and Judy Attaway (Mark) of New Bern; several grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 1pm Thursday, February 4, 2021 at the Pate Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.
