Francis Anthony Dobry

Francis “Frank” A. Dobry, 93, of Havelock, NC passed away peacefully to join Jesus on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Riverpoint Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Frank was born January 5, 1930 in Baltimore, MD to the late Frank and Olive Dobry.

He enjoyed walking, building dollhouses, singing in the church choir, and teaching Sunday School. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the U.S. Army. He went on to work and retire with Baltimore County in Baltimore, MD.

He is survived by his children, Sylvia Rowe, Barry Mabe, his grandchildren, Michael Rowe (Marie), Clinton Rowe (Tina), Denise Vetter (Norman), Sheila Mabe Hooker (Danny), Steven Mabe (Sabrina), many great grandchildren, and many great great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Pat Underwood and Mary Wymer, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, David Dobry, Bernard Dobry, Joseph Dobry, and Charles Dobry and his sisters Margaret Vilkas and Anna “Kathleen” Green.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staffs at Croatan Village Assisted Living, Riverpoint Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation, and Cardinal Hospice Care for taking wonderful care of him.
