Frank Douglas Ward

Mr. Frank Douglas Ward, age 91, a resident of Pollocksville, NC passed away Sunday August 18, 2024 at Brook Stone Living Center.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday August 21, 2024 at Cotten Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Greenleaf Cemetery. Frank Ward III, Stephen Ward Jr., Andrew Ward, Cannon Maples, Joseph Maples Jr. and Lyn Ward will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Ward was born October 24, 1932 in Pasquotank County to the late William and Sarah Long Ward. On February 21, 1953 he married Annie Sarah Eves who preceded him in death on September 6, 2011. He served his country for 26 years in the United States Air Force, Army and National Guard.

Survivors include two sons, Frank D. Ward Jr. and wife Linda of Kinston, Stephen D. Ward and wife Sheila of Trenton, his grandchildren, Tangie Maples and husband Anthony, Tammie Coombs and husband Alan, Frank Ward III and wife Amber, Andrew Ward, Stephen Ward Jr. and Jordan Smith, his brother, Bill Ward and wife Susan of Elizabeth City, fourteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Along with his wife and parents he was preceded in death by his son, Lynn J. Ward.
