Glen L Smith

NEW BERN/Glen Lester Smith, 93, formerly of Stamford, CT, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Carolina East Medical Center. Glen had been a newspaper advertising salesman in Stamford for many years until retiring to North Carolina in 1988. He was a World War II veteran, an avid film and music buff, and a loving family man.

Glen is survived by Doris Smith, his wife of 51 years; by his three sons – Ian Smith of New Bern, Keith Alexander Smith of Dover, and Adam Smith and wife Melissa of Trent Woods; by his granddaughter Amanda Alday of Bridgeport, CT, and by his sister-in-law Sandra Peat of Carluke, Scotland. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church in New Bern.
