Gloria, AKAs Boss, Mum, Goya, Ma, Mom, Mama, was a caring, smart, passionate, creative, hardworking, and strong woman. Gloria had many interests. She loved to read and play her video games, both of which would carry her into the late-night hours. Gloria loved listening to music, whether it was classical, ACDC, or her loved one’s school performances, she did not discriminate. She loved to go on cruises with her favorite travel partner, her husband, and loved to spend time at their condo at the beach. Gloria was a pro at home improvement, and had a flair for interior design, as she had great taste. She loved to cook and try new recipes. She also enjoyed watching sports, such as football, hockey and soccer especially when it was her kids or granddaughters playing.
While Gloria had many interests, her greatest love was her family, especially her children. She was a devoted and loving wife, who helped create the happy and fulfilling success story that most couples can only dream of. Gloria was an amazing mother. She knew each of her kids so well, knew what they needed, and what they did not, and worked tirelessly to make sure they had everything necessary to be happy and thrive. She loved them unconditionally, while giving them room to make their own choices and mistakes. She stuck up for, and fought for her children her whole life, whether it was in the classroom, courtroom, doctor’s office, or on the playing field. Gloria was proud of all her children, she celebrated their happiness and successes, and supported them through illnesses, heartbreaks, and sorrows. They feel honored and very lucky to have had her as a mother.
Leaving behind to honor and cherish Gloria's life, legacy, and memories are her loving husband of 55 years, Michael Montanaro; daughter, Tara Britt (Eric); son, Chris Montanaro, Nicholas Montanaro (Elizabeth), and Andrew Montanaro (Amy); grandchildren, Elizabeth (Tonie), Sophia, and Olivia; great-grandchildren, Ayden and Charlie; brother, Ronald Pennacchio (Maureen); sister, Denise Ferro (Steve); and many loving family members and close friends.
