Greg had been a part of the Riverside community in New Bern for 40 years and a longtime member of Riverside United Methodist Church. He worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and retired with many years of service. Greg had also been an avid golfer and was a member of the New Bern Golf & Country Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Alice Ellerson and his wife, Elouise Ellerson. He is survived by his sister and two brothers.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Riverside United Methodist Church. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in Cedar Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to Riverside United Methodist Church, 405 Avenue A, New Bern, NC 28560.
