Gwendolyn Gaye Lassiter

She made an effort to welcome her customers and get to know many of them personally. She was passionate about keeping in touch with family and friends by sending cards for all occasions and telephone calls. Her generosity and thoughtfulness has touched many lives. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carlye and Gaynelle Lassiter.

She is survived by one brother, Billy Lassiter of Mount Olive; a niece, Kristy Lassiter of Franklinton; her uncle, Jimmy Brock and wife Phyllis of Carthage; her special friends, Selma Piner and Gail Euglow, both of New Bern.

The family is most appreciative of those who helped care for her throughout her long illness.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Cotten Funeral Home, New Bern, NC. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US Hwy. 117 South, Dudley, NC 28333 with Dr. Steve Fitzgerald of First Baptist Church officiating.
