Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 58 years Dorothy, their children and their spouses, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; along with his sister, nephews, spouses, great nephews, and great niece. In addition to his parents and in-laws he is predeceased by his son in law, brother in law and niece.
During his time on earth, he was a devoted husband, hard worker, and good provider for his family and all those who passed through the front door of the home. He was the ambassador of what it meant to be family and did all he could to make sure he instilled that love into his children. He loved talking about vehicles, computers, and any other device that Consumer Reports rated as well as watching the Cooking Channel.
On behalf of Harold the family would like to thank all of the staff of the Carolina East Medical Center for all the compassion and care to include but not limited to the emergency room staff, the ICU staff, the ambassador and security staff, the respiratory staff, and the intermediate care staff.
Visiting hours for Harold will be held Monday, March 25, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Cotten Funeral Home, 2201 Neuse Blvd, New Bern, North Carolina 28560. A catholic prayer service will occur Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 9:00 AM, at Cotten Funeral Home 2201 Neuse Blvd, New Bern, North Carolina 28560.
