He was a veteran of the Korean War.
Funeral service will be 2:00pm Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Cotten Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Croatan Cemetery.
Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter Susan Cameron of Kinston (Joe); son, Paul Douthit (Sylvia) of Croatan; grandchildren, Sheila (Lu), JoAnn (Nick), Jon, Chris, Gregg (Susy); great grandchildren, Kaitlyn (David), Antony, Isabella and Auston; great great granddaughter, Alice Rose.
