Jerry Trent Norman Sr.

Jerry Trent Norman, Sr., age 82, of Ernul, North Carolina passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024.

Jerry was in the Army Reserve for a number of years. He was employed by DuPont for thirty four years where he was a Production and Project Manager. Working in this capacity afforded him the ability to travel abroad and work in Iran, Germany, and Switzerland. At New Haven Church, he served several years as a deacon. He took great pleasure in serving his community and church family. Jerry was an avid car enthusiast and loved all things FORD. He enjoyed attending several NASCAR races and observing wildlife. His greatest joy and pride came from his family. Jerry was very proud to be called Papa and Pops.

He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty years, JoAnne Odham Norman; son Jerry "Jay" Trent Norman, Jr. of Boone; daughter Kimberly Norman Blackburn (Jimmy) of Ernul; sister Annette Norman Arnold (Rex) of Fuquay Varina; grandchildren Chasen Blackburn of Ernul, Logan Blackburn (Lexi) of Ernul and Trent Norman of Boone.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Dezelle Norman; his brothers, Jerome Norman and Kirby Norman.

A visitation for Jerry will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at New Haven Church, 2755 Aurora Road, Ernul, NC 28527, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM.
