Jimmie Gale Weibley, age 74, of New Bern, North Carolina, formerly of Cove City, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023. He was born in Coronado, CA on June 22, 1948, son of the late James and Mildred Rogers Weibley.

Mr. Weibley retired from the US Coast Guard after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Cove City Fire Department, Cove City Masonic Lodge #583, Sudan Shriners, Scottish Rite, York Rite, American Society for Industrial Security and International Society for Chiefs of Police.

He is survived by his wife, Maureen Hogan Weibley; children, Seth and wife, Rashana, Jared and wife, Pam, Shaun and wife, Melody and Wendy; 12 grandchildren, Devin, Corey, Chloe, Madeline, Destin, Gabe, Jasmyne, Angelina, Timothy, Tiffany, Brandon, and Trisha; and 2 great-grandchildren, Asher and Whit, plus 3 more.

The family will receive friends at Core Creek Free Will Baptist Church in Cove City Friday, May 26 at 12:30 p.m. followed by A Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Barnhill officiating. Honors will be provided by Cove City Masonic Lodge #583 and Cove City Fire Department.
