Jimmy Dean McCausley

Jimmy Dean McCausley, age 65, of Newport, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. Jimmy was born in Carteret County, North Carolina on September 30, 1957 to the late William and Betty Metts.

He was a loving husband, father, papa, and friend. He was a loyal 37 year employee at The Roberts Company.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of seventeen years Cindy Kay McCausley of the home, Cindy's son Brent Townsend, wife Tracy and children of Vanceboro; his only daughter Candice Garvey and husband Jimmy of Cove City; grandchildren Dylan Garvey and wife Summer, Elyssa McDaniel and husband Dylan, Jacquelyn Garvey; great grandchildren Addison, Elizabeth, Jackson, Malachi and Canaan, his special boy Christopher, several brothers and sisters and countless friends and coworkers.

The family would like to thank all of their friends and family, The Roberts Company and employees and the loving staff of CarolinaEast Medical Center/Cancer Center.

A Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at New Life Church, 2911 Old Cherry Point Road, New Bern, NC 28560. He will be laid to rest on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Bryan Family Cemetery in Cove City.
